EMMANUEL 21

Growing up in Osun State, Nigeria, I was always captivated by fashion and beauty. I spent hours flipping through magazines, mesmerised by the models and their effortless elegance. Even as a child, I dreamed of one day seeing myself in those pages, embodying the style and confidence they exuded. That dream felt closer to reality when a teacher in secondary school stopped me one day and asked if I had ever considered becoming a model. “You have the height and the qualities,” he said. Those words stayed with me, pushing me to take my first step. I reached out to a talent scout who introduced me to a modelling agency. But when I applied, they told me I didn’t have the right height or look for their brand. I was crushed. It felt like my dream had been taken away before it even had a chance to begin. For a while, I held onto hope. A friend in the industry promised to help me get signed, but before we could make any progress, he relocated, and I lost contact with him. That was a turning point—I decided to pause and wait for the right opportunity. Now, as the face of Imaulé Okunrin, I see this as the breakthrough I’ve been waiting for. This is more than just a modeling opportunity—it’s the start of something bigger than I ever imagined. In two years, I hope this journey will take me to new heights, opening doors In ever thought possible. Looking back, life has taught me never to take anything for granted, not even the smallest opportunities. Time is the most valuable resource we have, and I’ve learned to use every moment wisely to uplift myself and push forward. Imaulé represents more than just fashion; it stands for freedom, heritage, and purpose. And for me, this is just the beginning.
